It really amazes me when I look at the world that God has created for us his children to live in. I think we should be cherishing everything in the world that God has blessed each of us with yet that’s the last thing most of us are doing on a daily basis. We are all so caught up within our lives dealing with the trials and tribulations that this life presents, our minds are clouded with our personal worries and we forget what a magnificent gift God has given us, the gift of life.
There is so much going on in this world that boggles my mind. I don’t understand why God has created the world for us to live in and we just can’t seem to act right. There is so much hatred in the world, even between families, those people who are supposed to love one another unconditionally are always at odds over trivial things. We destroy friendships/relationships because we bicker about things that are really of zero importance in this life. Sometimes it seems to me that there are too many people in this world who only care about themselves and personally I try not to live my life being like that. At times I feel like I tend to care more about others in my life than I care for myself. I try to be genuinely loving and compassionate toward others because I think there needs to be more love and compassion in the world.
I can’t remember the title, but there is a song that my mother sings that says, “although it makes him sad to see the way we live, he’ll always say I forgive.” and I wonder if God will truly forgive us for the things we do, for all the hatred some carry in their hearts for others, for the evil violent crimes that are committed each day, for the hateful words we say to one another due to temporary anger. Maybe if we stop and think to ask ourselves the question, will God forgive me for this before acting, we’d all have more love and compassion in our hearts and we could learn to cherish life so much more.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens; I guess that means that everything that’s currently happening in the world is happening in its season and in his time God will show the reason for it all.
